Heart Set Free (DVD)
$19.99Charles Wesley broke many barriers of 1700’s England not only to become “the most gifted and indefatigable poet and hymn writer that England has ever known,” but also to give music, heart and soul to the Methodist movement that he and his brother John led.
The story of Charles Wesley is often overshadowed by that of his more famous older brother John. These founding fathers of Methodism traveled the same path, yet their lives and talents were often remarkably distinct.
From a tenuous birth to blazing field preacher, this film explores the facets of the man known as “The Sweet Bard of Methodism.” Discover the poet, husband, and hymn writer who penned “Hark, The Herald Angels Sing,” and “O, For a Thousand Tongues to Sing.” Follow Charles as a failed missionary to America, then back home, depressed and dejected till he experiences a mighty conversion in May 1738 that kindled within him the passion to reach others with such intensity that, through his verse, we feel it today.
Shot on location in England and the United States, this feature-length documentary by T. N. Mohan, producer and director of the award-winning documentary Hanged on a Twisted Cross, brings detailed and well-researched perspective to Charles Wesley’s history through many never-before seen archival letters, manuscripts and other documents, besides interviews with leading experts from the UK and US.

Jim Elliot Story (DVD)
$14.99Geared for children ages 8-12, this stunning, half-hour, action-packed program uses top quality animation to bring to life the story of missionary martyr Jim Elliot.
The year was 1956. From the steamy jungles of Ecuador, news spread around the world that five young American men were mercilessly killed by members of the Auca tribe (now known as the Waodani)–a people those young men had gone to serve and befriend. That seemingly senseless tragedy a half century ago has become an inspirational marvel as that same tribe is now friends with the families of those they killed! This is the story of one of those brave torchlighters–Jim Elliot.
Jim Elliot spent his youth preparing to share the Gospel with those who’d never heard it. But nothing could have prepared him for the dangers and challenges he’d face in the jungles of Ecuador. The remote Auca tribe was suspicious and antagonistic toward even the most friendly of gestures from outsiders. Would Jim and his fellow missionaries ever be able to break down the hostile barriers and carry a torch of faith to this savage people determined to attack all outsiders?
In this inaugural Torchlighters episode we follow Jim’s adventures from his college years to his work in the jungles, showing young people his faith in action as he answers God’s call to do the seemingly impossible.

Gladys Aylward : The Small Woman With A Great God (DVD)
$19.99Gladys Aylward (1902-1970) may have been small in stature at barely five feet tall, but she was a giant of conviction! Even Hollywood was amazed by her story and made a movie about it, entitled The Inn of the Sixth Happiness.
This fascinating documentary presents the events of Gladys’ life, chronicled by Carol Purves, author of Chinese Whispers: The Gladys Aylward Story and accompanied by photographs, illustrations, and recordings of Gladys’ own voice.
Young Gladys sensed a calling from God to leave London and go to minister in China. She worked as a parlormaid for many years until she had enough money saved for her passage. In 1930, she boarded a train and after many weeks and harrowing situations, she finally reached her destination.
In China she assisted aging missionary Jeannie Lawson. Together they opened an inn for mule drivers and told them stories about Jesus. After Mrs. Lawson died, Gladys began to take in unwanted children, eventually numbering about 100. With Japan invading China full force, Gladys and the 100 children traveled for days on foot across the mountains to safety. Gladys continued her work with children until her death in 1970.
See how this ordinary woman experienced the extraordinary, simply because she said “yes” to God.

1st Fruits (DVD)
$19.99In 1732, two young Moravians left their comfortable community of Hernhut, Germany, convinced that they were called of God to bring the Gospel to the slaves in the West Indies. They went, willing to become slaves if necessary, to minister to these oppressed people. The Moravians pioneered a mission movement characterized by extraordinary commitment. Under the dynamic leadership of Count Nikolaus von Zinzendorf, the Moravians sent out more missionaries in 20 years than all the other Protestant groups had in 200 years. They were driven by two strong convictions: world evangelization is a prime obligation of the church, and every member of the Christian community has this responsibility. First Fruits unfolds the suffering which these young men endured for their missionary zeal and the agony of their community in deciding to send them forth at a time when missions to the heathen masses were unthinkable among Protestants. You will especially marvel over the “first fruits” of their ministry and the impact of their vision on the course of Christian history.
