      $14.99

The words of the Apostle Paul in I Timothy 1:15 no doubt resonated with John Newton. Edwards, Jonathan Aitken and Tony Baker, thoroughly explores Newton’s life from his turbulent youth to his involvement in the 18th century African slave trade, his dramatic conversion aboard a sinking ship and on through his remarkable ministry as an evangelistic preacher, hymn writer and abolitionist. • Servant Of Christ (DVD)

      $14.99

As of 2010 there are an estimated 12 million Christians in Korea. Over 100 years ago a seed was planted there that continues to grow today.

In 1866 Welsh missionary to China, Robert Jermain Thomas, sailed up the Taedong River near Pyongyang, dressed in traditional Korean garb and carrying Bibles. The ship Thomas sailed upon, an American vessel, was attacked and the crew was killed. When Thomas came ashore he carried a white flag and a number of Bibles. When a Korean combatant approached him, Thomas reached out to hand the man a Bible just before the soldier brought a sword down upon his neck.

Twenty-four years later. Samuel Moffett, the first full-time missionary to Korea, met many of the people who had contact with Thomas, including the children of his executioner. Several of these Koreans became leaders in the budding Korean Christian movement and witnessed mighty revivals that led to the flourishing of the Gospel in that nation.

Servant of Christ is an enthralling documentary tracing the historical roots of Christianity on the Korean Peninsula.

    • Welsh Revivals Of 1859 And 1904 (DVD)

      $14.99

Throughout history there have been times when the light of the Gospel has shone especially bright. The revivals of 1859 and 1904 in Wales stand as powerful examples. Marked by a commitment to prayer and bold preaching for repentance inside and outside of the church, the Welsh revivals “ran through the (Welsh) mountains like fire through thatch,” as one commentator describes it.

During this outpouring of the Spirit, churches were packed, streets were filled with believers singing hymns, and crime rates and drunkenness decreased dramatically. Prayer meeting routinely ran late into the night, and attendees were often seen either crying over their brokenness or shouting for joy at God’s grace as nominalism and dead orthodoxy were replaced by passionate love for Jesus. This phenomenon was highly publicized by the press as the spiritual awakening impacted all of Welsh life.

This documentary traces the origins of the revival, introduces us to its leaders such as Dafydd Morgan and Thomas Charles Edwards, and follows its lasting impact upon the world and on world missions.

In a series of meetings in Sunderland 1907 held by Alexander Boddy, an Angelican Vicar, and Thomas Barratt, a minister from Norway there was an “Outpouring of the Holy Spirit.” God moved through this revival leading to ongoing meetings and conventions for several years. Burron, James Salter, George Jeffreys, Stephen Jeffreys and others to go and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and the message of Pentecost.

Smith Wigglesworth – Smith Wigglesworth was an evangelist from West Yorkshire, England, who dared to believe that all things are possible. He brought in a multitude of souls for Jesus, and signs and wonders would follow wherever he preached the Gospel.

Stephen and George Jeffreys – Two brothers from a mining family in the valleys of South Wales got saved during the Welsh revival. They would go on to evangelize and establish New Testament churches throughout the United Kingdom. They were Stephen and George Jeffreys. • KJV : The Making Of The King James Bible (DVD)

      $19.99

The year 2011 marks the 400th anniversary of the creation of the King James Bible, arguably the greatest piece of English Literature ever produced. King James had an uncanny love of beautiful things, including language to stir the soul. With several inferior English translations in use across the Kingdom, the Puritan leader John Rainolds took his opportunity to suggest that a new, more accurate translation was needed for the people. With the new king’s blessing, a committee of 47 professors began the daunting task of creating a translation that was accurate, acceptable to all, and beautiful enough for the king! While Shakespeare’s rich language lit up the stage, this committee penned a beautiful translation that would eventually bring new life to the churches.

Award-winning director Jerry Griffith doesn’t disappoint as he brings to life the fascinating history of this great work, along with its impact for us today. KJV: The Making of the King James Bible brings the viewer right into the heart of the translation process through specific passage examples. While exploring the varying viewpoints of the different scholars, we get a firsthand look at the immense attention to detail they used. This presentation gives the viewer a renewed appreciation for the sacred scriptures and their place in our homes and churches.

Explore the mysterious circumstances of Christ’s birth in this captivating look at the first Christmas. Joseph and Mary traveled to Bethlehem by order of the Emperor, Augustus Caesar. This census has long confounded historians seeking to reconcile the Bible with recorded history. The evidence to address that is both intriguing and insightful.

The mysteries continue when a star appears to announce the birth of the King of the Jews. What was the star? What did it look like? When did it appear? Foreign Magi, or Wise Men, saw the star and followed it to Jerusalem and Bethlehem seeking Jesus. These little-understood figures were among the first to discover Jesus in what was surely a life-changing, as well as history-making, event.

Explore the star as the Magi did, following it to better understand Christmas. Trace what the Magi did as they gazed into the night sky those thousands of years ago.

Find answers to these questions and more… What really happened on the first Christmas?

    • Truth Prevails : The Undying Faith Of Jan Hus (DVD)

      $19.99

He could either deny the truth or die at the stake

Almost 600 years ago, a humble peasant stood alone against pope, emperor and king. He could either deny the truth he believed with all his heart, or he could die at the stake. Today Jan Hus is little known outside of his native Czech Republic, but in his day he challenged corrupt church officials and inspired thousands to live for truth. In an age when Europe was divided between three popes, when pestilence claimed one in three lives and church offices were available to the highest bidder, Hus defied the earthly authorities to seek truth directly from the Word of God.

Truth Prevails, a quote from Hus himself, is an hour-long documentary from The Christian History Institute and award-winning filmmakers Jerry and Misha Griffith. Using location footage, interviews with prominent historians and period artwork, this film follow the struggles of Jan Hus and the efforts of modern scholars which ultimately led Pope John Paul II to apologize for the Church’s actions.

Truth Prevails is more than just a look at an amazing life in a turbulent time. It is also a thought-provoking examination of many difficult issues facing anyone living in any time: When should we stand our ground and when should we back down? Which issues are worth dying for? How should we speak out against what we know is wrong? And ultimately, when should we ask for and offer forgiveness?

    • Forsaken Promise (DVD)

      $19.99

The Forsaken Promise documents the failure of Britain and her appointed institutions and officials, whether military, administrative or political, to fulfill her pledge under the Balfour Declaration and her legal obligations under the Mandate. It highlights a number of tragic events that took place during that period, mainly through the testimonies of people who were victims of those events, participant in them, or eye-witnessed to them. They speak of Britain’s political expediency and even treachery towards the Jewish people in appeasing the militant Arab nationalist movement, as well as causing the wholesale misery of many thousands of Jewish people who were turned away from the shores of Palestine in the 1930s and 40s. Through the 1939 White Paper, the British government also made inevitable the deaths of an untold number of Jews who could have escaped Hitler’s Final Solution , had they been able to find refuge in their ancient homeland.

Here is an excellent resource, thoroughly researched and documented and beautifully produced that sets fourth the perspective of many Israelis on the historical grievances and current tensions in the Holy Land.

Part 1: “The Forsaken Promise, the Forsaken Jews” – 1 hour
Part 2: “The End of the Mandate, the End of the Empire” – 1 hour

    • Light In The Darkness (DVD)

      $19.99

This moving historical documentary explores the remarkable spirit and faith of the Volga German people. These German nationals emigrated to the Volga region of Russia during the time of Catherine the Great in pursuit of a dream… the promise of freedom and local self-government in their newly adopted homeland.

Joseph Stalin believed that these German Russians, despite their historical support of the Soviet Union, would not remain loyal to his regime in the war against Germany. In 1941 they were banished from their homes and exiled to forced labor camps by the Soviet premier. Thousands died of starvation and exposure to the frigid elements; others were put to death by Soviet authorities.

A Light in the Darkness weaves the eyewitness reports of survivors into a tapestry of heart-wrenching tragedy and hope. This true story shows how faith can triumph even in the most desperate circumstances.

    • Hidden Heroes (DVD)

      $19.99

The rescue of Jews in Nazi-occupied Holland is a story of unimaginable courage and faith. As told by those who lived through the Nazi terror, this evocative documentary recounts what it was like for Dutch Jews to face systematic isolation, persecution and elimination. Our subjects were mere children at the time. Children who witnessed their family and friends being arrested and dragged away – and, for most, never to be seen again. Children for whom unbearable pain and loss was cruelly compressed into a single experience of overwhelming terror.

Hitler’s plan to eliminate an entire race of people may have succeeded if not for those who saw the lie in his quest for perfection, those willing to stand against the Nazi evil-the Dutch resistance. They were ordinary people willing to risk their lives and the lives of their family to shelter and save Dutch Jews. These were Holland’s Hidden Heroes.

    • Weapon Of Mass Destruction (DVD)

      $22.99

The liberal bias toward the war in Iraq was one thing. Then came a propaganda piece that did more to line the pockets of a radical filmmaker than to tell the truth. That’s when Brad Maaske, a conservative businessman from the agricultural heart of California decided enough was enough. It was time for a documentary that told the truth about the human toll and terror under the personally guided regime of Saddam Hussein.
This movie offers a balanced view of the real Iraq–before, during, and following the military involvement of the United States and its allies. It provides an objective report for Americans to consider prior to going to the polls in November. Jano Rosebiani, co-producer of WMD, is an Iraq film director know most recently for the documentaries Mass Graves of Saddam Hussein and Chemical Ali.

Never-before-seen footage of the atrocities perpetrated in Iraq, chemical attacks, and interviews with survivors provide a riveting testimony for the justification of war and military support during reconstruction. Exclusive interviews and expert analysis of the current geopolitical situation are provided, including an in-depth interview by Victor David Hanson, author of eleven books, including The Western Way of War, An Autumn of War, and Between War and Peace.
